Embodying Activism: Actively Living What We Stand for with Caz Binstead

Seminar Details

This event is included in a series of seminars organised in collaboration with the Therapy and Social Change Network.

What does it mean to be a human being who stands up for something important? How do we think about our ‘roles’ in community groups, and engage in honest reflection about our own identities, and the individual powers, and vulnerabilities, that we hold. And how do we live our daily lives, organically expressing the values of social justice from the depths of our soul? As activists, and agents of social change, these questions are vitally important.

Join Caz Binstead, writer, relational activist, and community lead (#TherapistsConnect), and take a tour through history to see how certain artists, thinkers, philosophers, protestors and campaigners have embodied their beliefs; working as individuals and groups, to symbolise and stand for, everything they talked about. And, take the space to courageously consider your own identity – to ponder how we can best use self-knowledge, and our unique experiences as holistic human beings, to embody activism, and serve others authentically, in a life of community service.
