Relaxing Pause and Grounding Breath Masterclass for Therapy Workshop with Sarah Hunt

This session is a short but deep-dive into one aspect of Breathwork — the pause or relaxed breath hold. Holding the breath after our inhale when we are stressed is a really common stress response. We can unwind this stress habit when we learn how to ‘pause’ the breath after our exhale and hold the breath without tension.

These two breathing practices are a wonderful pair for shifting us out of the Stress State, learning how to work with gentleness, finding the energy of Letting Go with our breath, and learning how to bring these aspects together for an amazingly grounding Breathwork practice.

Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event

  • An understanding of how moments of pause in our breath cycle influence the Nervous System
  • An understanding of how these breathing practices create physiological resilience to stress
  • Experience two breathing practices in-depth until they becomes easy and feel second-nature
  • Practicalities on how/when/how much to practice and how to share these breathing techniques with clients new to Breathwork.

  • This workshop is open to all therapists and those interesting in learning more about breathwork and nervous system regulation.

  • This workshop will give participants a chance to explore two powerful Breathwork exercises in-depth, in order to give everyone the confidence, motivation and skills to practice and share this breathing exercise with clients.

RECORDING 

This event will be recorded and you can use the ticket function to pre-purchase the recording before the event. This will be useful for colleagues who are not able to attend the event live and also for those who attend the event live and want to watch it again.

ZOOM 

This event will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

The self-select fee is a radical inclusion policy to open learning for all colleagues. Sarah Hunt

Sarah Beth Hunt is a meditation and breathwork coach, yoga teacher and founder of Messy Luminous Being online platform. She received Ph.D. in Indian Studies from the University of Cambridge, and has trained in both the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhist meditation and traditional yoga through the British Wheel of Yoga. She currently works with clients using movement, breathwork and mind-training practices to harness the body’s physiology and the mind-body connection and transform their inner state.
