This workshop equips psychotherapists with evidence-based tools to address erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE) through a biopsychosocial lens.
Participants will explore:
The psychological roots of ED/PE (anxiety, trauma, relational dynamics).
Somatic and cognitive techniques (sensate focus, mindfulness, CBT for sexual scripts).
Intersectional considerations (aging, culture, LGBTQ+ clients, medical comorbidities).
Ethical dilemmas (when to refer to medical colleagues, navigating shame).
Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event
- Recognise Erectile Dysfunction and Premature Ejaculation and the difference between them.
- Navigate comorbidities (depression, relational conflict, porn use) without pathologizing.
- Address stigma in therapy rooms with culturally sensitive language.
Who is This Workshop Appropriate For?
- The workshop is suitable for Psychotherapists and counsellors in practice or in training and any other professional interested in this human condition.
Practitioners will be better equipped to:
- Have a greater understanding of male sexuality and the many factors that can impact it.
- Be able to talk about sex in an ok way.
- Know when to refer clients on for medical intervention.
- Feel more relaxed to address matters of a sexual nature.

ZOOM
This event will be hosted on the Zoom meeting platform where we will use our cameras and microphones to interact with each other as a group.

Lohani is based in Manchester UK, where she is the Director of The Institute for Relational and Sexual Therapies (ThIRST). She also maintains a healthy private practice. She spends her leisure time travelling and exploring indigenous cultural narratives on spirituality.
