About this event
Returning for 2026 — Black Women Therapists: Challenging the ‘Strong Black Woman’ Archetype — the live, online, discursive workshop that offers a dedicated, affirming space for Black and BIPOC women therapists to reflect on how the ‘Strong Black Woman’ Archetype shapes our inner worlds and therapeutic practice.
This is the workshop that inspired the Black Women Therapists UK One-Day Online Conference.
Using reflective prompts and open dialogue we’ll explore together how this powerful, and often limiting narrative, influences our sense of identity, experience of training, choice of therapeutic modalities, and the relationships we build with our clients.
Here’s an opportunity to connect with others who share the complexities of navigating strength, care, and vulnerability in clinical spaces. A chance to pause unpack, challenge, and reimagine the narratives that inform our work and impact our well-being.
