David Eggins

I trained and worked as a teacher of modern languages and later in residential special needs before developing an interest in couple counselling and completing RELATE's training programme in 1991. I practised for RELATE for about 6 years.

A domestic violence conference in Northampton in 1994 awoke my interest in the need to help violent, aggressive, and abusive people to change their behaviour to their intimate partner and within a year, me and other RELATE counsellors had researched and written up a programme to address the issues and set up the charity TEMPER Domestic Violence with which Denise Knowles became involved about an 18 months later.

I am married to Maria and we recently became grandparents with the birth of our first granddaughter to the wife of one of our twin sons.
