Carol Targett

I'm an experienced Counsellor, Supervisor, and Trainer; and have amassed considerable experience in working with children, young people, and adults across a range of settings including educational establishments, health settings, and voluntary sector agencies. I am currently the Programme Leader for Simpson House Training's Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People course, and a Personal Tutor on Edinburgh University's Counselling and Psychotherapy Diploma Training, where I was also previously an Associate Course Tutor. Prior to this, I set up and managed an authority wide School's Counselling Service in Midlothian.

I still manage to continue my face-to-face counselling work, part-time, as an Adult and Youth Counsellor; and Counselling Supervisor for Pilton Community Health Project in Edinburgh.

Even managing to maintain a small private practice which offers counselling to children, young people, and adults, as well as supervision to counsellors and therapists from the creative arts.

I very much values the opportunity counselling offers people, young or older, to expand their sense and understanding of themselves and others, in a respectful and affirmative way.
